Trojan War and the Fall of Troy
Karim's Introduction and Conclusion

Introduction:

This war cost the Greeks as much as it cost the Trojans even thought the Greeks won the war. Now I will tell you what happened to the Greeks and the Trojans in the war. I will also discuss the outcome of the war as well as what happened after the war.

Odysseus did not want to go so he made himself look stupid in order no to go. After he passed a test, he went to look for Achilles on an island. On the island, Achilles was disguised as a girl, but he fell in love with Diademia and made her pregnant. When Odysseus found all the girls he tested them and found out that Achilles was only a girl disguised as a boy.

As Agamemnon, the commander of the Spartan army, prepared to set sail, the wind died because he had insulted the god Artimis by boasting and hence he had to sacrifice his own daughter in able to satisfy Artimis. After that was done, the wind came back and the ships set sail. On the ship, Philostets suffered from a snake bit and as a result, he was abandoned on an island against his will. The Trojans sent an ambassador to talk the Trojans into returning Helen back but the Trojans refused. The Greeks then set camp on the shore of Troy and the war began.

After ten years, the Greek leader Agamemnon insults the god Apollo and Apollo sent 9 days of plague. Agamemnon and Achilles get into a fight and Achilles leaves the Greek army. He asks Zeus to help the Trojans.

Paris and Meneales fought a duel and Aphrodite saved Paris as he was about to be killed. Odysseus killed 13 of the Trojan allies and Hector, leader of the Trojan army enjoyed victory over the Greeks with the help of Zeus. Agamemnon wanted Achilles back but he refused, although he agreed to send his friend into battle who was killed by Hector with the help of Apollo. Achilles, and after he got the divine armor went back to battle and killed Hector in revenge. Paris killed Achilles when he shot him in the ankle, his only weak spot.

Later on the Greeks caught Priams son and he told them that the only way to concur troy was by using the bow and arrow of Hercules, which was with Philostets at the time. Hence the Greeks asked for Philostets to join the battle and he ended up killing Paris. The Greeks built a wooden horse as a present and gave it to the Trojans, when the Trojans put the horse in the city; the Greek army jumped from the horse and was able to concur Troy.

Conclusion:

The Greeks won the Trojans after the Death of Achilles, Paris and hector, the three best warriors in that war. The city of Troy was destroyed because Paris took Helen and never gave her back. The Greeks mainly won because of their smartness and intelligence. But both the Greeks and the Trojans suffered great losses.
